Deep Sea Drilling Project

Deep Sea Drilling Project 1963:The Deep Sea Drilling Project is a worldwide investigation of the seafloors that was initiated by the National Science Foundation. Using technologydeveloped by the petroleum industry, DSDP ships drilled and recovered extensive core sections. By using this technology, it has been a benefit to the science world. It had impacted the science world by finding valuable information from the past. It has helped us discover more of the Hydrosphere. Also, with the findings from DSDP, scientist have uncovered information about the ancient climates on Earth, oceanic current patterns, and the variations in volcanic activity from the past.
