Sonar(SOUnd, Navigation, And Radar)

Sonar 1822:Sonar is a system that uses transmitted and reflected underwater sound waves to detect and locate submerged objects or measure the distances underwater. There are two major types of Sonar, active and passive. Both types of Sonar allow us to study the Hydrosphere and learn more about it. Sonar has been a benefit to the science world. It has been used for many different things, but mostly to calculate the speed of sound underwater. This has been an impact to the science world because it has allowed scientist to make new discoveries in the Hydrosphere.
